Teed Off for Pretty in Pink

A few weeks ago I sponsored a hole for the Pretty in Pink Golf Tournament at the Hedingham Golf course in Raleigh.  It was a balmy day of 90 degrees with about 100% Humidity.  I had the fantastic idea of meeting golfers at the hole that I sponsored and offering them a Go Realty "Mug Shot", some cold bottled water, and a snack.  I also thew in some gum with my business card attached.  The above picture shows my whole set up.  After spending the day there greeting golfers and swatting away mosquitos, I have some parting thoughts on why I will do things a bit differently next year.

1)  Golfers Prefer Beer to Water
2)  Golfers don't care for gum, mugs, or snacks if they have Beer.
3)  Mug Shots are pretty cool
4)  If planning to hang out at a hole all day, try not to get the hole by the water trap or swamp.
5)  In a Shot Gun start golf tournament, hole 5 is hole number 10 to someone.
6)  The last few golf carts carry either the happiest golfers, drunkest golfers, or the most irritated golfers.
7)  Golf Carts can only hold so much. A couple of boxes of mugs, a large cooler, a table, signs, and bags of snacks is more that a golf cart can carry.
8)  Golf courses are larger than they may appear to the non golfer
9)  It is good to have a map of the golf course and know where your hole is prior to arriving.
10)  Locate the closest potty on the map that you bring upon arriving.

Biggest take away from this experience...... It is much more fun to ride in the cart and play golf than watch golfer pass by.  Next time I'm playing or at least driving the cart!

Here are some more of the pictures from the event.....
