People are always asking me about the real estate market. The perception is that the market is very poor all around. However, I generally try to explain that in real estate it is all about location. As they say, location, location, location. Location is not just the region, county, or town, it goes alway down to the neighborhood and even sometimes the street. How well our neighbor maintains his home not only affects the value of his home, but the value of the neighborhood. The charts below are the latest glimpse of the real estate market in the triangle showing the top 30 appreciating subdivision. I hope that you find the information helpful. Top 30 Appreciation Subdivisions Per Area Report The subdivisions presented below are the top 30 within the geographic area stated in terms of percent per year appreciation. This list is developed by taking the subdivisions with the most qualifying resale's. The subdivision name is followed by the average percent per year gain from prior purchase price, the average years of ownership, the number of qualifying sales in our database during the past 13 months and the average sales price of those sales.
